Why Epoxy fails
Epoxy has its purposes, however, it being used as a floor coating isn't ideal or practical in the long term. Here's why:
Epoxy doesn't bond with the substrate. it just sit's on top of it.Humidity negatively affects the bond strength between layers of epoxy.Epoxy floors degrade with time due to UV rays causing it to yellow.Hot tires on cars can cause wear and tear on epoxy.
